Objective of Bhagyalakshmi Scheme:
- Encourage Girls Birth: The state aims to encourage the birth of girls in poor and deprived families and provide them stability.
2. Reduce Child Labor & Child marriage: To reduce problems like child labor, female feticide, and child marriage.
3. Help for Girl’s Education, Nutrition & Medicine: The all-round development of the girl is to be done by helping her in education, nutrition, and medicine.
4. Social Respect for Girls: Girls have to be respected in society by becoming self-reliant.

Benefits of the Bhagyalakshmi Scheme:
Girls born after 31.07.2006 will get the benefit of this scheme.
- Protect Poor Family: The state should encourage the birth of girls in all deprived and poor families.
2. Help for Girl’s Education: To provide financial assistance for girl’s education.
3. Financial Help to Girl’s Family: Providing financial assistance to the girl’s family.
4. Protection of Girl: To protect the girl.
5. Insurance facility for Family: Rs 1 lakh will be provided as accident insurance to the girl’s parents.
6. Fixed Deposit for Girl: After registering for this scheme, a fixed deposit certificate of Rs. 10000/- is provided which will be received with interest after the girl completes 18 years of age.
7. Facility for Two Girls for One Family: According to this scheme, an amount of Rs.34751/- will be provided to the firstborn girl child and Rs.40918/- to the secondborn girl child.
8. Scholarship For Girls: The girl beneficiary of this scheme will receive a scholarship every year during her education.
The above benefits are for a girl child born between 31.07.2006 to 31.07.2008.

Increase Benefits in Bhagy Laxmi scheme:
The Government of Karnataka has made changes in this scheme on 20.01.2009. Girls born from 01.08.2008 onwards are assured the below-mentioned benefits.
- According to this scheme, the firstborn girl child will be given a fixed deposit certificate of Rs.19300/- and the second girl child will be given a fixed deposit certificate of Rs.18350/-.
2. After the beneficiary girl turns 18 years of age, the girl will receive an amount of Rs.100000/-.
Class-wise Education Scholarship Benefits of Bhagyalakshmi Scheme:
- The Girl beneficiary of this scheme will get Rs. 1000 from 1st class to 3rd class students. A scholarship of Rs 300/- per year will be given.
2. Rs. 4th class to the girl student. 400/- per year scholarship will be given.
3 . The girl student in the fifth class gets a Rs. 500/- per year scholarship will be given.
4. Girl students in classes 6th and 7th get Rs. 700/- per year scholarship will be given.
5. The girl student in the eighth class gets a Rs. 800/- per year scholarship will be given.
6. The girl student in class 9th and class 10th gets Rs. 1000/- per year scholarship will be given.
Eligibility Criteria of Bhagyalakshmi Scheme:
- Permanent Residency Of Karnataka: It is mandatory to be a permanent resident of Karnataka state for this scheme.
2. Born After March 2006 Girl is Eligible: Girls born in poor families after 03.2006 will get the benefit of this scheme.
3. Register With-in Year: It is necessary to register for this scheme within one year after the birth of the girl child.
4. Benefits are available for Two Girls: The benefit of this scheme is limited to the birth of two girls born in poor families in the state.
5. Ineligible if mom is below 18 age: The girl registering for this scheme should not be married before the age of 18 years.

- Visit Website: First, the applicant has to visit the official website of the Karnataka Government.
2. Click the link: That is to click on the Bhagyalakshmi Application link.
3. Download Application Form: After that, the Bhagyalakshmi application for PDF will appear in front of you, you have to download it and print it.
4. Fill up Form & Past Photo: Fill in all the information asked in that form and attach the photo to it.
5. Parents Signature: Finally, the signature of the girl’s mother or father has to be taken on that form.
6. Application Submission: The necessary documents for this scheme have to be attached to the form and submitted to the concerned office.
7. Approval: The concerned officer will verify this form and documents and approve your form.
8. Get Bhagylakshmi Bond: After completion of the application, you will receive the Bhagyalakshmi Bond within a month.

On the login page, you have to include your ID and password. If you have no ID and password first you must register on this portal and after registration, you will get an id & password.
4. Click Link: After that you have to click on bhagylaksmi apply.
5. Get Form: After that the Bhagyalakshmi form will open in front of you.
6. Fill up Form: In this form, you have to fill in all the required details.
7. Upload Documents: Necessary documents and photos have to be uploaded.
8. Submit With Declaration: After that, tick the declaration and click on the submit button.
9. Print Acknowledgement: After that, the acceptance receipt will appear in front of you, print it and keep it with you.
10. Get Approval: The concerned officer will check your application and you will receive the Bhagya Lakshmi Bond within a month.
