Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024

The dependence of Indian agriculture on human power and animal power is moving towards reliance on mechanical energy. The important reason for this is the increasing expenditure on animals and the increasing shortage of human labor. For this reason, it has become mandatory for Indian farmers to use mechanical power. However, the small and marginal landholding farmers can’t purchase agricultural equipment due to their economic weakness. Considering this crisis, the Bihar Government has started the “Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024 ”.

Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024 Detailed Description:

In Bihar, the land owned by small and marginal land-holding farmers is 80%. To meet the agricultural machinery requirement of such a vast area, the government can’t provide agricultural machinery to every farmer.

Custom Hiring Center: Along with this, the Government of Bihar has envisioned providing agricultural equipment to the farmers by setting up a “Custom Hiring Centre” to improve the hard work of the farmers, punctuality of agricultural works, and productivity of crops.

SMAM: To implement this scheme, the government has established SMAM (The Mission on Agricultural Machinery). Through this, the farmers of the state can set up custom hiring centers.

The main objective of the Bihar Agricultural Machinery Subsidy 2024 Scheme is to establish custom hiring centers for the farmers in the state and to provide subsidies to the farmers for purchasing agricultural equipment.

Subsidy for 108 Agri Machinery: The Bihar government will provide subsidies for 108 agricultural machinery under this Bihar Agricultural Machinery Subsidy 2024. This includes all the agricultural equipment related to sowing, plowing, weeding, weeding, irrigation, harvesting, harrowing, and gardening in the field.

Types of Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024:

The Bihar Government has announced three types of Custom Hiring Center establishment through Bihar Agricultural Machinery Subsidy 2024.

1. SMAM-CHC (Custom Hiring Centre).

2. SMAM -FMB (Farm Machinery Bank).

3. SMAM -CHSC(Special Custom Hiring Centre).

Bihar Government’s provision for agricultural equipment subsidy 2024:

The Bihar Government has announced three types of sub-schemes for providing Bihar Agricultural Machinery Subsidy 2024 by SMAM (The Mission on Agriculture Machinery). Various subsidies have been provisioned for these three types of schemes. We have explained it briefly below.

1. SMAM-CHC (Custom Hiring Centre). : For this scheme, the Bihar government has set a target of establishing 150 custom hiring centers in all the districts of the state.

Under this scheme, the expenditure of each center has been fixed at Rs 10 lakh. On which subsidy of 40% i.e. Rs 4 lakh will be given by the Bihar government.

2. SMAM-FMB (Farm Machinery Bank): Under this scheme, the Bihar government will select 160 villages in 25 districts of the state And establish FMB (Farm Machinery Bank) in these villages.

The expenditure of each center has been fixed at Rs 10 lakh. 80% subsidy i.e. Rs 8 lakh will be provided by the Bihar government on this expenditure.

3 SMAM -CHSC(Special Custom Hiring Centre).: According to this scheme, the Bihar government will set up a total of 21 special custom hiring centers in 9 districts in the state. The cost per hiring center has been fixed at Rs 20 lakh. In this, a 40% subsidy i.e. Rs 3.40 lakh will be provided for the purchase of a tractor (55HP).

Whereas the Bihar government will provide an 80% grant i.e. Rs. 12 lakh subsidy on the remaining agricultural equipment. Under this scheme, farmers can purchase agricultural machinery to manage their crop residues.

Under the SMAM of the Bihar Government, the Special Custom Hiring Center will provide subsidies for 9 districts of the state. We have given the list of these districts below.

Eligibility for Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024:

The following eligibility criteria are mandatory for this scheme.

1. Residency: For this scheme, one must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
2. Type of Benifiery: The beneficiary of this scheme must be a progressive farmer/self-help group/village organization/livelihood group/cluster federation/farmer interest group, farmer club, or producer/entrepreneur affiliated with NABARD/Nationalized Bank.
3. Number Of Machines: Every custom hiring center is required to have at least three crop management agricultural equipment.
4. Crop Cycle-Wise Machines: According to the crop cycle, it is necessary to have one agricultural equipment related to self-propelled plugging, sowing, harvesting, and threshing.

Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024 Online Application Process:

Applicants Registration Process:

To avail of this scheme’s benefits, the applicant must first register on the Bihar Government’s direct benefit transfer in agriculture mechanization official website www.agrimachinery.nic.in.

Custom Hiring Center (CHC) project has to be prepared by registering according to the category of the application.

Information about which component the eligible applicants must apply under this scheme is given below.

1. Farmer: For this Agricultural Machinery Subsidy 2024, the farmer has to register through SMAM components 4, 5, 6, and 8 and create a CHC project.

2. Self Help Groups/Village Organizations/Livelihood Groups/Cluster Federation/Farmer Interest Groups/NABARD/Farmers Clubs affiliated to Nationalized Banks/Manufacturers/Entrepreneurs: These types of applicants must register for this scheme through SMAM components 4,5,8.

Important documents for Bihar Krishi Yantra Subsidy 2024:

In this scheme, different important documents are required as per the category of the applicant.

Documents required for farmer applicant:

1. Farmer’s Aadhar card.
2. Passport-size photo.
3. Land record paper.
4. Photo of the first page of a bank account.
5. ID Proof (Aadhar Card/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport).
6. Caste certificate.

Documents required for Self Help Group/Village Organization/Livelihood Group/Cluster Federation/Farmer Interest Group/NABARD/Farmer Club/Manufacturer/Entrepreneur affiliated to Nationalized Bank:

1. Register certificate of society or group.
2. PAN card of society or group.
3. Address proof of society or group.
4. Bank account details.
5. Name, address, mobile number, and email of certified person.

Application Process:

After the applicant has registered on the official website www agrimachinery.nic.in he will receive the log-in ID and password.

After getting this login ID and password, the applicant has to visit the official website of the Agriculture Department of Bihar State https://farmech.bih.nic.in/.

After this the home page will open in front of you, click on the “farmer application” menu of this home page.

In this, you will find the names of three types of schemes.

According to the category of the applicant in that

1. The farmer has to click on the option “Apply to get a subsidy”.
2. Groups or organizations have to click on “Apply for subsidy under SMAM -custom hiring center” to get a subsidy for the custom hiring center.
3. Groups or organizations have to click on “Apply for subsidy under SMAM -Special Custom Hiring Center” to get a subsidy from the Special Custom Hiring Center”.

After that, the application form will open in front of you. In this form, if you are a farmer, you have to include your personal information and if it is a group, then you have to include your group or organization information and upload the necessary documents.

After that, you have to submit your applications by clicking on submit. After that, an acknowledgment will appear in front of you, you can download this acknowledgment and keep it in a softcopy or take a printout and keep it with you.

After that, your application will be approved by the concerned agriculture division officer after checking and verifying your application.
