The main objective of this scheme
Establish Industries: To generate interest among the youth and girls of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to establish industries.
Promotion: To promote small and micro industries in the state.
Encourage the Youth: This scheme has been started to encourage the youth who want to do industry.
Provision in Budget: The government has made a provision of Rs 102.50 crore in its annual budget for this scheme.
No Security for Loan: For a new young entrepreneur to take a loan from the bank, the bank asks for collateral security.
No Margin Money for Loan: Similarly, to take a loan in the bank, it is necessary to deposit your margin money in the bank, and for this, the new entrepreneur can’t get a loan from the bank even if he does not have that much margin money and security.
Keeping this problem in mind, the Bihar Government has started the Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme.

Loan up to 5 lakh: Under this scheme, the government will provide 50% or a maximum of Rs. 5 lakh free loan per unit to the boys and girls of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
Government Grand Subsidy: The unit will be provided 50% or a maximum grant/subsidy of Rs. 5 lahks under the special promotion scheme.

Eligibility Criteria of Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana :
- Residency: The applicant’s youth and girl should be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
2. Cast: The application must be from a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
3. Minumum Education: The minimum education of the applicant should be 10+2 Intermediate, IT Income, and Polytechnic Diploma.
4. Age Limit: The applicant must be above 18 years of age.
5. Business Registration: The applicant must register as a Proprietorship, Partnership, LLP, or Private Limited Firm.
Benefits of Bihar Laghu Udyami YojanaSelection List 2024:
Employment Opportunities: Economically deprived families are eligible for benefits under the Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme. The scheme aims to provide employment opportunities to at least one member of such families.
Eligible Persons: Only one person per family will be eligible for benefits under this scheme, which includes spouses and unmarried children.
Cast Condition: Preference will be given to persons belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Extremely Backward Classes, women, youth, and minority groups. Applicants can avail of benefits only from Bihar Laghu Udyami Yojana or Bihar Laghu Chitrana Yojana.

Under Bihar Small Entrepreneur Scheme Selection List 2024, each beneficiary will get a grant of Rs 2,00,000.
This amount will be distributed in three installments, the first installment will be 25% of the project cost, the second will be 50% and the third installment will be the remaining 25%.
The next installment will be provided after each installment is used. Additionally, an amount of Rs.25000/- will be provided by the Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) for training and project monitoring.
